Carolyn wright
Carolyn Wright, LMSW is a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, CT. She attended the University of CT, Sacred Heart University, and Southern CT. She holds a masters degree in Social Work.
She was employed by the state of CT. as a Social Worker for 28 years. She has worked in the helping profession for 30 plus years.
She is a motivational speaker, transitional life coach, group facilitator, and producer/ host for her radio show “Let’s Talk About it”. A segment of her show (Person of Interest, Story of Hope—PISH is devoted to people who want to share their life story of the process of overcoming obstacles to encourage others to find their voice and move forward.
Scope of work includes, working with individuals who have experienced incarceration, substance abuse, Domestic Violence, Health, relationship and family issues, etc.
She has facilitated health and emotional wellness, relationship, violence prevention, self esteem, women wellness, Sickle Cell support, senior citizen support, Traumatic Brain injury and Domestic violence groups.
Her work has taken her outside of the state and the continental U.S to facilitate conferences and self-esteem workshops.
Her volunteer work includes; The Center for Justice, Bridgeport ReEntry Collaborative, Charles Smith Foundation, Southern CT. Sickle Cell Disease Assoc. Of America So. CT, Prospect House Shelter, Golden Hill St. Senior Citizen Center.
Her continued passion is to empower, uplift and assist the marginalized and disenfranchised population to find their voice and tell their story.
